Another fantastic year is in the books and for me, it was pretty good. Highlights included a trip to do some in depth coverage of Cactus League Spring Training in Arizona, covering the Pacific Links Senior PGA Tour event, my usual stints as the photographer for the Victoria HarbourCats and Victoria Eagles baseball clubs, expanded coverage of high school and university basketball and a range of other assignments for Independent Sports News and others. Here, in no particular order are my Top 25 selections for the year and the reasons they made the cut (click on the thumbnails below to go to a full size image with the captions and image descriptions). Enjoy!
Every year in January, I conduct a bit of a self-introspective exercise by going through all my sports photos and selecting what I feel are my top 25 images of the year. It is a very educational activity and one that I learn from moving forward. Some of these photos tell a good story, some have humour behind them and many are just good action shots. So without further ado, here they are, in no particular order, my top 25 for 2015. Scroll down below the images to see why I chose the photo for this collection. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
2014 was a heavy year of shooting hockey and baseball for me, so my favourites focus on those sports, but there were a few new sports that I was fortunate enough to capture this year such as cricket! Please enjoy my selection of favourites for 2014. Click on an image to go to a larger version and scroll to the caption to see a quick description of why I chose each photo.
