July 25, 2012, Victoria, BC - Outfielder Spencer Scotney of the Victoria Selects Midget AAA baseball team makes a spectacular diving catch against the Cowichan Mustangs Wednesday night at Lambrick Park in Victoria. The Selects would emerge with a 4-3 win to clinch the BC Minor Baseball Midget AAA League Title.

Why I Chose This Photo: Well why not start my 2012 collection with what I felt was one of the best baseball catches I saw all year (and was lucky enough to capture). Scotney had to charge hard from the sun and into the shadows to make the catch, one that propelled his team to the victory in this game.
