May 1, 2012, Victoria, BC - Jamie Reid, with his Dad Gordie, celebrates sinking his practice putt, prior to teeing off at the VDGA Spring Tournament Tuesday at the Cordova Bay Ridge Golf Course.

Why I Chose This Photo: Golf was another "first" for me this year and on top of that I had a chance to shoot a tournament featuring a group of special athletes who were all disabled in some manner and who are playing the game of golf for both fun and a means of therapy. The enthusiasm these athletes showed for the game is what struck me and it was no better represented than this exuberant celebration by Jamie, of the sinking of a simple warm-up putt. Not to mention the support of Jamie's friend in the background who was also cheering Jamie's accomplishment.
