June 9, 2011, Victoria, BC - Victoria Jr. Mariner catcher Brandon Ashford looks back at a down and out Jason Heckl of the Victoria Jr. Eagles after tagging him out on a close play at home plate in the 5th inning of their BC Jr. Premier League game Thursday night at Lambrick Park in Victoria. The Mariners would score all their runs in the 6th inning to come away with a 5-1 win over the Eagles.

Why I Chose This Photo - This is about subtle emotion. Catcher blocks plate and tags runner out for third out of the inning on close play in a close game. Runner is slightly winded and hurt, catcher gets up and gives him the very sly "Sorry but $%&! you buddy" look. The catcher's team then comes up in top half of next inning to score all their 5 runs to take over the game.
