May 27, 2015 - The incredible troupe of Cirque Du Soleil put on a performance of the show Varekai on Wednesday evening at the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria, British Columbia.

WHY I CHOSE THIS PHOTO: While the Cirque de Soleil may not technically fall into the category of "sports" the performers in the show are certainly athletes and components of the show certainly do, especially all the gymnastics related maneuvers. This performance reminded me of a gymnast working on the rings and I simly loved the composition, the artistry and the way the solo spotlight in the background adds to it all.
