July 8, 2014, Victoria, BC - Many of Canada's and the World's top track and field athletes were on hand to compete in the National Track League's 2014 Victoria Track Classic at the University of Victoria.

WHY I CHOSE THIS PHOTO: This is a classic angle to shoot the 100 m hurdles from and I was able to get the shot I was envisioning. It helped tremendously that it was a very close race and that all three athletes (tops in the world in the sport) were in nearly identical positions over the hurdles. The intensity in their eyes is also another aspect that makes this photo jump out at me.
