October 19, 2014, Victoria, BC - The Victoria Grizzlies take on the Merritt Centennials in BC Hockey League (BCHL) action Sunday at the Nicola Valley Arena in Merritt, The Centennials would escape with a 4-3 overtime win.

WHY I CHOSE THIS PHOTO: There is something about this photo that reminds me of the old hockey photos taken way back in the 1950's and 1960's. Perhaps it has something to do with the very bad lighting in the Nicola Valley Arena (an old classic barn if there ever was one), or just the way the puck is hanging there, the spray of snow from the skater, the goalie pose. I like too that one has to guess here...did the puck go in? Did the puck go wide? Only myself, the goalie and the shooter know for sure!
