2012 Victoria Eagles Baseball Club

July 11, 2012 Victoria, BC - The Victoria Eagles take on the Braves in Victoria Mavericks Men's Baseball League action Wednesday at Lambrick Park. 66-year old Bob Mabee pitched a historic first inning to lead the Eagles to a 11-3 mercy rule win over the Braves.

Why I Chose This Photo: Yes it's just a simple shot of a pitcher throwing a pitch, with nice lighting and pose, but in this case, 66-year old Bob Mabee took to the mound for the first time in 50 years against much younger competition (some of whom are 40 years his junior), and gave up just a single run to be given credit for the win. I was honored to be on hand to capture Bob's special moment.
