May 25, 2011, Victoria, BC - Maple Ridge's Simon Giourmetakis, who would score one of the 4 Burrard goals, puts some first period moves on the Victoria Shamrock's Spencer Taugher in Western Lacrosse Association action Friday night at Bear Mountain Arena. The Shamrocks broke open a 4-4 tie with four third period goals to win 8-4.

Why I Chose This Photo: This was my first time shooting the Shamrocks (our Western Lacrosse Association team) and to say the lighting in a hockey rink with no ice in it is a challenge, would be an understatement. Fortunately a combination of the right equipment, which allowed me to shoot this at 10,000 ISO, and the right amount of post-processing, resulted in a very usable image.
