WHY I CHOSE THIS PHOTO: Another example of looking for subject matter away from the action of the game. Head Coach Merritt, as he does most games, was sitting alone with his thoughts and I felt a shot of him with the kids in the background, with their bright yellow shirts against the blue seats, would look nice. When Merritt made his trademark salute and the kids started mugging above him, including the boy sticking his tongue out, the photo was enhanced even more.
