Harlem Globetrotters

February 10, 2015, Victoria, BC - The Harlem Globetrotters battle the Washington Generals in an exhibition basketball game at Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria. The Globetrotters would emerge with an exciting and entertaining 87-85 win over the Generals in sudden death overtime.

WHY I CHOSE THIS PHOTO: I have always wanted to capture a basketball photo like this.....wide angle, player suspended close to the rim in mid-air, as he is on his way to a thunderous dunk, but the nature of most of the basketball I shoot - high school and UVic at the university level - never really allowed for it. Bring on the Harlem Globetrotters and in many cases, their "canned" plays where you know this is going to happen and can anticipate it and BOOM! Capture achieved!
