June 11, 2014 Victoria, BC - A lone spectator catches up on the news prior to the Victoria HarbourCats West Coast League game against the Cowlitz Black Bears Wednesday night at Sports Traders Diamond at Royal Athletic Park in Victoria. The Bears would cruise to an 11-4 victory.
WHY I CHOSE THIS PHOTO: There is much more to sports photography than the game itself. Turning the camera on the fans can sometimes provide images that are much more compelling. This was one such case...a quiet moment that a fan was enjoying before everyone else came to the park, isolated against the wonderful blue seat background that Royal Athletic Park provides.
