November 26, 2011, Victoria BC - Claremont Red's Travis Grohnsdahl fights past White team defender Nick Preston during the Junior final of the 7th annual Claremont Spartan Shootout Field Lacrosse Tournament at Topaz Park in Victoria Saturday. The Red team would go on to a 12-6 win.

Why I Chose This Photo - Another "first" sport for me this year was field lacrosse and this shot makes my cut because it is a good example of some of the physical play that happens close to the net. I particularly like the gentle "hug" the defender seems to be giving the attacking player, the effort shown on the offensive player's face, and the seemingly calm look on that of the defender.
