2015 Boulders Climbing Gym

2015 Boulders Climbing Gym

May 16, 2015, Victoria, BC - BC's Genesis Jeske gets that sinking feeling as she falls off the wall during one of her climbs Saturday at the SCBC Provincial Sport Climbing Championships at The Boulders Climbing Gym in Central Saanich, British Columbia.

WHY I CHOSE THIS PHOTO: I have been photographing sport climbing now for three years or so and I have always wanted to capture the expression on a climbers face right at the moment they fall off the wall, in that brief second before the safety rope kicks in and before their brain realizes that their safety rope will kick in...I think this one captured that feeling of dread and terror quite nicely!
