Lacrosse Season Underway - Victoria ShamrocksThe Victoria Shamrocks are our Western Lacrosse Association team and they are rocking early in the season with a 5-0 record. I have covered 2 games so far for Island Sports News and I must say the shooting conditions are challenging. The hockey rink that they play in is dark enough for hockey, with bright white ice in place, and of course even darker for lacrosse with the dark concrete floor. I have found that I am shooting at 10,000 ISO to get the shutter speeds that I need to adequately stop the action. Thank goodness my 1D MkIV handles high ISO noise well and that Lightroom has nice tools for cleaning noise as I manage to get some useable images out of this.
